Removing the rear intrusion switch

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the rear system cover.
  4. Remove the rear drive cage
  5. Remove the PDB.

Steps

  1. Disconnect and remove the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board.

    Observe the routing of the cable as you remove it from the chassis.

  2. Remove the screws securing the switch bracket to the PDB module and move it away from the module.
  3. Remove the intrusion switch from the chassis.
