Installing the power distribution board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the rear support bracket.
  4. Remove the air shroud.
  5. Removing the PSU.
  6. Observe and disconnect the cables from the connectors on the power distribution board.
  7. Removing the PSU cage.
NOTE:Ensure that there are no cables under the PSU cage before installation to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.

Steps

  1. Align and place the power distribution board onto the PSU cage.

  2. Using a Phillips 2 screwdriver, tighten the ten screws that secure the power distribution board to the PSU cage.

Next steps

  1. Install the PSU cage.
  2. Reconnect the cables to the connectors on the power distribution board.
  3. Install the PSU.
  4. Install the air shroud.
  5. Install the rear support bracket.
  6. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
