Installing the system cover

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Ensure that all internal cables are connected and routed properly, and no tools or extra parts are left inside the system.

Steps

  1. Align the rear top cover with the guide slots on the system.
  2. Lower the rear top cover on the guide slots of the system until it fits into place.

  3. Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system and slide the front top system cover.
  4. Close the front top system cover release latch.
    NOTE:Ensure that the system cover closes without obstruction or unnecessary force. Reseat any cables or components or realign the system cover if necessary.
  5. Using a 1/4-inch flat head or Phillips 2 screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise to the lock position.
