Removing the right control panel
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- Remove the rear support bracket.
- Remove the air shroud.
- Remove the cooling fans.
- Remove the cooling fan assembly.
Steps
- Using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the right
control panel bracket to the system.

- Remove the cable cover away from the system.
- Disconnect the right control panel cable and the VGA cable from the connectors on the system board.
- Using the Torx 8 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the right control panel and cable cover to the system.
- Holding the right control panel and VGA cable assembly, slide the right control panel out of the system.
NOTE:Observe the routing of the cable assembly as you remove the right control panel from the system.
