Sliding out the drive cage

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Disconnect the backplane cables.

Steps

  1. Using a Phillips 2 screwdriver with a torque value of 6±10% lbf-in (7Kgf-cm) to release the thumbscrew on the drive cage.
  2. Slide the drive cage toward the front of the chassis.
