Installing the HPM sled

Prerequisites

Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.

Steps

  1. Align and insert the HPM sled into the stab in rails on the chassis.
    NOTE:This step is optional and to remove or install the components in the HPM sled you do not have to remove the HPM sled out of the chassis.
  2. Push the blue touch points on the storage module's bottom's edge and slide the HPM sled in until it fixes in place.
    NOTE:Do not hold the CAM lever and push the HPM sled inside the chassis.
    NOTE:Do not push the HPM sled in by touching the areas near iDRAC ports or OCP NIC to avoid fingers or hands being pinched.

  3. Using Philips 2 screw driver fasten the four front mount captive screws.
  4. Rotate the CAM lever inside and fasten the two captive screws using Philips 2 screw driver.
