Removing the cooling fan board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the HPM sled cover.
  4. Remove the bus bar power cables.
  5. Remove the air shroud.
  6. Remove the cooling fans.
  7. Remove the cooling fan cage.
    NOTE:Disconnect the cooling fan board cable.

Steps

  1. Using Philips 2 screw driver remove the four screws that secure the fan board to the fan cage.
  2. Using both hands slide out the cooling fan board from the fan cage.
