Removing the Memory Shroud

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. left cover

    2. optical drive

  3. Press down on the blue retaining tabs on each side of the memory shroud and lift the memory shroud upwards. Figure displaying the pressing of the retaining tabs on the memory shroud module.
  4. Press down on the release latch on the other side of the memory shroud module to release it from the chassis. Figure displaying the release of the air duct from the chassis.
  5. Press down on the release latch on the memory shroud base and lift it upwards to remove it from the computer. Figure displaying the removal of the memory shroud base from the chassis.
  6. Repeat the steps to remove the second memory shroud module and memory shroud base from the computer.
