| Dell standard version |
Support is added for Dell Standard Version (DSV). This provides an easy way for Dell Customer Support to obtain product versions and provide a better customer experience. The symcfg CLI is modified to accept a new -dsv option. When specified, this command displays the full Solutions Enabler package version. |
| Access local unique ID in client/server mode | Support is added to obtain the unique ID for the local host when in client/server mode. To support this, the symauth CLI has a new -local option. |
| Cloud Scale, HA and Performance Requirements | Support is added for PowerMax Cloud configurations of dual Embedded guests deployed using an active-passive model.
This support is provided to the PowerMax Cloud environment by making the access TDEVs and recovery devices visible simultaneously to both embedded guests. |

Support is added to configure the NVMe over TCP protocol on ethernet ports. This NVMe over TCP endpoint can then be used to make devices visible to a host that supports this protocol for LUN access. This support allows users to configure an NVMe Host Initiators in Initiator Groups (IG) with an optional host ID for each host initiator NQN. |

PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) no longer support Dynamic Cache Partitioning.
The support for the Dynamic Cache Partitioning (also known as QOS) feature is removed from PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and above. Storstpd does not report QOS (cache partition) related stats from Solutions Enabler V10.0 or higher. The SPM_CP (QOS) stats category is not reported from PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. |
| Cache infrastructure | Solutions Enabler V10.0 exports the non-mirrored cache capacity information on arrays running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) or higher.
The output of the command symcfg list -v is updated to export both mirrored and non-mirrored cache information for arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. The memory option is no longer supported for arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher and the error "Feature is not available for this microcode level" is returned. |

From Solutions Enabler V10.0, the legacy FlexLM license files are no longer supported. In addition to this, Solutions Enbler V10.0 no longer supports license installation to arrays running PowerMaxOS versions lower than PowerMaxOS 10 (6079). NOTE:To install licenses to arrays running earlier versions of PowerMaxOS or HYPERMAX OS, you can only do so from a host with Solutions Enabler V9.x installed.

| Flex RAID | Starting with
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079), changes are made to the internal management of RAID storage.
The command symdisk is modified to accept a new -reliability qualifier to the -dskgrp_summary option to report details about the Reliability state, RAID Group summary state, plus aggregate usable and spare capacity information for spindles within the disk group and individual engines within each disk group for HYPERMAX OS 5977 and PowerMaxOS 5978. The command symcfg is modified to report aggregate Reliability states at the SRP and System levels. Changes are made to the command symcfg list -v to accommodate PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher reporting of usable (non-spare) and total/available spare capacities in units of disks, relative to disk sizes in each Disk Group. The command symdev is modified to address the change that RAID Groups (and their members) do not belong to specific Directors or Engines for arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. |

| Platform readiness to support 4k snaps/clones per volume | A new infrastructure is provided to support 4k snapshots per device when it becomes available.
Support is added for 256 clones per source device for arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. The command symclone is enhanced to support 256 clones per source device for arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. |
| Support for SnapVX Direct Mapped Architecture | A new SnapVX Direct Mapped Architecture (SDMA) is introduced for the local replication for arrays running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. The new SDMA architecture allows the
symclone to leverage the same sharing infrastructure as SnapVX snapshots, helping Symclone to be as space efficient as SnapVX.
The symsnapvx CLI is enhanced to allow the users to work with SDMA used by local replication for arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher.
The use of -copy with link/relink copy action is optional on arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079). The symsnapvx link target states report only the Copied or CopyInProgress state for all link/relink actions with and without the -copy flag. The Copied state is used to indicate the data is available on the target device, otherwise the InProgres state is reported. This CLI is enhanced to report copy progress indication by overloading the existing DEFINE in progress flag when working with arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher. |
| SG support for symclone | Support is added for the TimeFinder symclone control and query action with SG on arrays running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher.
NOTE:The Create, Activate, Recreate actions are not supported with SG input.

Symmetrix ACLs (symacl) are not supported on PowerMax 2500 and PowerMax 8500 arrays. Customer access control on PowerMax 2500 and PowerMax 8500 arrays is handled entirely via User Authorization (RBAC, symauth). NOTE:With the exception of
symauth -unique, any invocation of the command
symacl against a PowerMax 2500 or PowerMax 8500 array fails with a not supported error.

| RBAC Usability Improvements | With the deprecation of ACL support for PowerMax 2500 and PowerMax 8500 arrays, improvements are added to RBAC.
The output for the command symauth list -users is modified to omit the obsolete No Effect flag unless the -mode V92 argument is provided. |
| SSC Access for Unisphere on EEM Guests | Unisphere is enhanced to provide functionality formerly available through vApp Manager. To support this, Solutions Enabler V10.0 provides access to Unisphere through a Secure Symetrix Credential (SSC) when running on the EEM guest. |
| User Identities on Embedded Guests | From Solutions Enabler V10.0, users who have explicitly logged onto an embedded Guest (PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)), their user identity now reflects the type of Guest and Array ID. |
| Access IDs for Embedded Guests |
For embedded Guests on PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) arrays, the same Access IDs are generated for both instances of the Guest.
Arrays running HYPERMAX OS 5977 or PowerMax OS 5978, a different Access ID was used for the two instances of each Guest. These Access IDs are used with operations initiated from these Guests. |

| Performance Metrics enhancements |
Solutions Enabler V10.0 introduces new SPM external data structures with only the relevant metrics. These new structures display "_V2" appended to their original names, signifying that they are Version 2 of SPM data structures. Arrays running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) and higher only receive these reduced set of stats. |
