Multiprotocol UserMapper import

You can migrate the configuration for UserMapper from VNX to Unity.

UserMapper is a VNX service that automatically maps distinct Windows users and groups to distinct UNIX-style UIDs and GIDs.

The database that UserMapper uses on the source VDM is not migrated to the target Unity system. If the source VDM has UserMapper enabled, the target NAS Server has the corresponding user mapping service enabled.

The UID and SID-mapping information that is maintained on the files or directories is migrated to the target Unity system. This mapping information is also inserted into the target Unity SECMAP. Unity automatic mapping for unmapped Windows accounts automatically generates and assigns a unique UID to Windows users.

Unity displays automatic mapping as either enabled or disabled. You can determine whether UserMapper is enabled on the source VDM by running the server_cifs command on the VNX system.
