Removing the PCIe X16 expansion card–optional

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the cover.
  3. Perform the following steps to remove the expansion card:
    1. Pull the metal tab to release the expansion card.

    2. Pull the card-retention tab [1], and remove the expansion card from the slot on the computer [2].
