25 GbE, 10 GbE, or 1 GbE switch networking

Your VxRail relies on your 25 GbE, 10 GbE, or 1 GbE switches for all the networking between nodes in the cluster, and between the cluster and the rest of your infrastructure. It is crucial that your switches are configured properly for the VxRail to work.

Consult with your sales representative or partner to ensure that your switch is properly set up to work with your VxRail according to the instructions provided by your switch manufacturer. For more detailed information about switch and network requirements, see the VxRail Network Planning Guide.

The following table lists the general type of switches that are needed for different VxRail models.
