VxRail satellite nodes depend on local disk drives and a local PERC controller for primary storage resources for VMs. VxRail Manager cannot discover satellite nodes using the internal management network. Assign a management IP address to a VxRail satellite node for VxRail Manager to be able to discover the address.

VxRail satellite nodes do not support the following:

  • VMware vSAN networks.
  • VMware vSphere vMotion networks for VM mobility purposes
