Requirements
The management cluster has specific requirements and LCM considerations for satellite nodes.
Management cluster requirements
The management cluster must be a:
- VxRail cluster with VMware vSAN that has three or more nodes
- VxRail 2-node cluster with VMware vSAN
- VxRail dynamic node cluster
- VxRail stretched cluster with VMware vSAN running VxRail 7.0.400 or later
LCM considerations
Satellite node LCM is supported with VxRail 7.0.300 or later. To upgrade satellite nodes, consider the following:
- The membership of a VxRail-managed satellite nodes folder in the same VMware vSphere data center provides satellite node LCM.
- Satellite nodes must be within the same major version (or N-1) of the management cluster while doing a satellite node LCM for the cluster.
