Installing the 3.5-inch hard drive

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

NOTE:You may install two 3.5-inch hard drives into your computer, one into each hard-drive cage on the chassis.

The following image(s) indicate the location of the 3.5-inch hard drive and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Installing the 3.5-inch hard drive

Place the 3.5-inch hard drive into the hard-drive carrier and align the tabs on the carrier with the slots on the hard drive.
Snap the hard-drive carrier onto the 3.5-inch hard drive.
Slide the hard-drive assembly into the hard-drive cage until it snaps into place.
Connect the hard-drive data cable and power cable to the 3.5-inch hard drive.
Place the computer in an upright position.
