Removing the rear-chassis fan

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the left-side cover.

Steps

  1. Place the computer on its side with the left side facing up.
  2. Disconnect the rear-chassis fan cable from the system board.
  3. Remove the screw (M3x5) that secures the rear-chassis fan to the chassis.
  4. Slide and lift the rear-chassis off the chassis.
