Installing the battery

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

Steps

  1. Align and place the battery edge at an angle so that the tabs on the battery fit into the hooks on the base cover.
  2. Replace seven screws (M2x3) that secure the battery to the base cover.
    NOTE:Check that all screws are securely tightened and that the battery is properly secured to the base cover.
  3. Connect the battery cable to the system board.
