Installing the left I/O daughterboard

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

The following image indicates the location of the left I/O daughterboard and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

NOTE:The left and right I/O daughterboards can be removed and replaced independently, and are not required to be removed or replaced as a pair.

Steps

  1. Place the left I/O daughterboard into position, aligning the screw hole on the daughterboard with the screw hole on the base cover.
  2. Replace the screw (M2x3) that secures the left I/O daughterboard to the system board.
  3. Position the left PCBeam interposer board on the left I/O daughterboard, ensuring it is seated firmly.
    CAUTION:Handle the PCBeam interposer with care by the edges. Avoid touching the pins on the connectors.
  4. Bend the left PCBeam cable into position over the interposer then replace the screw (M1.6x3.4) that secures the PCBeam cable to the I/O daughterboard.
