Removing the speakers

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the Palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

Steps

  1. Remove the six screws (M2x2) that secure the left and right speakers to the base cover.
  2. Release the speaker cables from the routing guides on the left and right fans.
  3. Disconnect the speaker cables from the connectors on the system board.
  4. Lift the left and right speakers off the base cover.
