Removing the DC-in
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
About this task
The figure indicates the location of the DC-in and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Locate the DC-in port on your computer.
- Remove the three (M2.5x3.5) screws, and lift the metal hinge bracket covering the display connector.
- Remove the single (M2x3) screw, and lift the DC-in port.
- Peel the transparent sticker, and disconnect the DC-in cable from its connector on the system board.
- Peel the adhesive tape off.
- Remove the DC-in port from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
