Procedure

  1. Open the latches and disconnect the keyboard cable and the keyboard-backlight cable from the keyboard-controller board.

  2. Note the routing of the touchpad cable, the I/O-board cable, and the keyboard-controller board cable, and peel off the cables from the keyboard.
  3. Remove the 30 screws (M1.6x1.5) that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.

  4. Lift the keyboard off the palm-rest assembly.
