Removing the Keyboard

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside your computer Inside your computer.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the base cover.

  4. Flip the computer and open the display.
  5. Pry the keyboard trim from its edges and remove the keyboard trim from the computer.

  6. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the palmrest assembly.

  7. Flip the keyboard and disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.
