Removing the Display Panel

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. display bezel
  3. Remove the screws that secure the display panel to the display assembly. Lift the display panel over.

  4. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Peel the LVDS cable connector tape [1].
    2. Disconnect the LVDS cable from the display panel [2].
    3. Remove the display panel from the display assembly [3].
