VMware Skyline is a proactive support service that is aligned with VMware Global Support Services. VMware Skyline automatically and securely collects, aggregates, and analyzes product usage data to identify potential problems and assist VMware technical support agents improve the resolution time.
When a vCenter instance that is not managed by Skyline is added in SupportAssist Enterprise, a banner is displayed with links for information about Skyline. The Skyline Integration page is also enabled in SupportAssist Enterprise. To view the Skyline Integration page, go to Extensions > Skyline Integration.
If none of the vCenter instances are managed by Skyline, only a Get Started link is displayed. Click the Get Started link for information about downloading and installing Skyline.
If at least one of the vCenter instances added in SupportAssist Enterprise is managed by Skyline, the following information is displayed:
NOTE: : By default, SupportAssist Enterprise verifies the status of the vCenter instance every 24 hours.
