Removing the Input Output board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. WLAN card
  3. To remove the Input Output(I/O) board:
    1. Lift the latch and, disconnect the I/O cable from the connector on the I/O board [1,2].
    2. Pull and disconnect the IOB cable from the I/O board [3].
    3. Lift the latch, and disconnect the fingerprint cable from the I/O board [4].
      Displays the removal of the cables
    4. Remove the two M2.0 x 4 screws that secure the I/O board to the system [1].
    5. Lift the I/O board away from the system.
      Displays the removal of the Input output board
