Removing the Input/Output (I/O) Board

1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. SD card
   2. battery
   3. base cover
   4. keyboard trim
   5. keyboard
   6. optical drive
   7. primary and secondary hard drive
   8. palmrest
3. Perform the following steps to remove the I/O board:
   1. Disconnect the ExpressCard module connector from the I/O board.
   2. Remove the screw that secures the I/O board to the computer.
   3. Lift the right edge of the I/O board upwards to disengage the connector and remove it from computer.
