Removing the Power Switch

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. left cover

    2. front cover

    3. front bezel

    4. I/O panel

  3. Perform the following steps:
    1. Disconnect the power switch cable from the I/O panel board.
    2. Press down on the power switch module on the sides to release the power switch from its compartment [1,2]. Figure displaying the release of the power switch module.
  4. Remove the power switch from the computer. Figure displaying the removal of the power switch from the computer.
