H355 JBOD Target ID 0 Missing After PD Replacement
Updated:  October 09, 2026 ID: 000518557

Certain Dell qualified Seagate Exos X24 SAS drives have undergone a hardware revision. As a result, replacement drives may ship with firmware revisions ending in A (SWSA, SYSA, or SUSA), while existing drives may be running firmware revisions ending in 9 (SWS9, SYS9, or SUS9). This behavior is expected and supported. The firmware difference reflects a hardware revision and does not indicate a problem with the drive, a firmware mismatch, or a requirement to update existing drives. Key Point: Customers do not need to update existing SxS9 drives to SxSA firmware. SxS9 firmware remains the correct firmware family for original hardware revisions.

Dell PowerEdge 17G servers add support for iDRAC shared mode network access on select Broadcom and Intel PCIe network adapters beginning with iDRAC10 firmware versions 1.30.60.50. This enhancement allows the iDRAC to share connectivity through supported host network adapters without requiring a dedicated iDRAC network port. Following the public release of iDRAC10 version 1.30.60.50, several issues are identified in environments using iDRAC shared mode on supported adapters. These issues affect iDRAC network failover behavior and connectivity under certain operating conditions.

PowerEdge 15G, 16G, and 17G Servers Do not upgrade to Nuvoton NPCT7xx TPM firmware version 7.2.4.0 without first reviewing your TPM key usage. Firmware version 7.2.4.0 introduces a change to the ECC key derivation process that renders externally stored ECC child keys created on version 7.2.3.1 or earlier unusable. Environments that rely on these keys must unbind and re-provision them before performing the firmware update, or key access may be permanently lost. RSA keys are not affected. Due to the risk of ECC key incompatibility, the TPM firmware DUP packages have been removed from the platform catalog to prevent unintended upgrades. Administrators should complete any required ECC key remediation before updating TPM firmware.

Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME) uses a multi-step process to discover and onboard servers through iDRAC. The discovery process begins with a basic network reachability check (ICMP ping) followed by protocol-level communication (Redfish or WS-Man). If any step in this chain fails, the discovery will not succeed.
