Removal
Left side cover
Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover latch to the chassis.
Pull on the left side cover latch to release the left side cover from the chassis.
Remove and lift the left side cover from the chassis.
Front cover
Position the system as shown.
Identify the front cover highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front cover tabs from the top, working right sequentially to the left tab.
Swing the front cover outward from the chassis and remove the cover.
Position the system as shown.
Memory module
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Remove the memory module from the memory module slot.
Wireless module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the wireless card bracket to the wireless card.
Remove the wireless card bracket off the wireless card.
Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.
Slide and remove the wireless card from the wireless card slot.
SSD
Coin cell battery
Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.
Push the release lever on the coin cell battery socket to release it from the socket.
Remove the coin cell battery.
Graphics card end holder
Identify the graphics card end holder highlighted in blue.
Slide the release latch to its unlock position and lift the graphics card end holder away from the front chassis fan.
Graphics card
Identify the graphics card highlighted in blue.
Press and hold the securing clip on the graphics card power cable, then pull the connector off the graphics card.
Lift the pull tab and open the expansion card door.
Push the securing tab on the PCIe slot on the system board away from the graphics card.
Grasp the card by its top corner and ease it out of the slot.
Rear Chassis Fan
Identify the rear chassis fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the rear chassis fan cable from the system board.
Remove the screw that secures the rear chassis fan to the chassis.
Slide and lift the rear chassis fan off the chassis.
Front Chassis Fan
Identify the front chassis fan highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the front chassis fan to the chassis.
Disconnect the front chassis fan cable from the system board.
Push the tab to release the front chassis fan from the chassis.
Lift the front chassis fan off the chassis.
Heat sink assembly
VR heat sink
Identify the voltage regulator heat sink highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the voltage regulator heat sink to the system board.
Lift the voltage regulator heat sink off the system board.
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Press down and push the release lever away from the processor to release it from the securing tab.
Extend the release lever completely and open the processor cover.
Gently lift the processor from the processor socket.
System board
Position the system as shown.
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the front I/O bracket to the chassis and remove the front I/O bracket.
Remove the front I/O bracket from the chassis.
Disconnect the hard drive data cables from the system board.
Disconnect the processor power cables from the system board.
Disconnect the system board power cable from the system board.
Disconnect the power button cable from the system board.
Disconnect the SATA power cable from the system board.
Press the release clips and disconnect the power supply unit cables from the power supply unit extension cables.
Release the power supply unit extension cables from their black plastic clips and lift it away from the system board.
Remove the screws that secures the system board to the chassis.
Lift the system board at angle and remove it from the chasis.
Install
System board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Slide the front I/O ports on the system board into the front I/O slot on the chassis and align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the chassis.
Insall the screws that secures the system board assembly to the chassis.
Place the section of the power supply unit extension cables over the system board and secure the cables with their black plastic clips.
Connect the power supply unit cables to the power supply unit extension cables.
Connect the SATA power cable to the system board.
Connect the power button cable to the system board.
Connect the system board power cable to the system board.
Connect the processor power cables to the system board.
Connect the hard drive data cables to the system board.
Align the front I/O bracket to the front I/O ports and install the bracket on the chassis.
Install the screw that secures the front I/O bracket to the chassis.
Position the system as shown.
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Ensure that the release lever on the processor socket is fully extended in the open position.
Align the notches on the processor with the tabs on the socket and place it on the socket.
The processor is in place, lower the release lever and secure it under the tab on the processor cover.
VR heat sink
Identify the voltage regulator heat sink location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the voltage regulator heat sink on the system board.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the voltage regulator heat sink to the system board.
Heat sink assembly
Front Chassis Fan
Identify the front chassis fan location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the front chassis fan with the slots on the chassis.
Press the front chassis fan against the chassis to snap the chassis fan into place.
Connect the front chassis fan cable to the system board.
Install the screw that secures the front chassis fan to the chassis.
Rear Chassis Fan
Identify the rear chassis fan location highlighted in blue.
Align it with the screw holes and place the rear chassis fan on the chassis.
Install the screw that secures the rear chassis fan to the chassis.
Connect the rear chassis fan cable to the system board.
Graphics card
Identify the graphics card location highlighted in blue.
Place the card into the PCIe slot and press down firmly until the single graphics card snaps into place.
Close the expansion door and snap the latch back into position.
Connect the graphics card power cable to the graphics card.
Graphics card end holder
Identify the graphics card end holder location highlighted in blue.
Install the graphics card end holder over the front chassis fan and slide the latch into its lock position.
Coin cell battery
Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue.
Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing up.
Snap the battery in the socket.
SSD
Wireless module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) location highlighted in blue.
Slide the wireless card at an angle into the wireless card slot.
Connect the black cable to the auxiliary (black triangle).
Connect the white cable to the main (white triangle).
Place the wireless card bracket on the wireless card.
Install the screw that secures the wireless card bracket to the wireless card.
Memory module
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
Front cover
Position the system as shown.
Identify the front cover location highlighted in blue.
Insert the bottom side front cover tabs into the corresponding slots on the chassis.
Push the top side of the front cover towards the chassis, snapping the slots into position.
Position the system as shown.
Left side cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the bottom edge of the left side cover into the chassis.
Push the left side cover into place.
Tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover latch to the chassis.
