Removal
Cable Cover
Identify the cable cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the cable cover lock to release the cable cover from the chassis.
Slide and lift the cable cover from the back of the computer.
Dust Filter
Identify the dust filter highlighted in blue.
Pry and remove the dust filter from the front cover.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
Slide and lift the side cover from the chassis.
Front Cover
Identify the front cover highlighted in blue.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry and release the tabs that secure the front cover to the chassis.
Rotate the front cover outward and lift it away from the chassis.
Optical Drive
Identify the optical drive highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the data and the power cable from the optical drive.
Press the securing tab to release the optical drive assembly, then slide it out of the bay.
Flip to rotate the optical drive assembly by 180 degrees.
Rotate the optical drive bracket outward to release it, then remove it from the optical drive.
Remove the optical drive bezel from the optical drive.
Install
Optical Drive
Identify the optical drive location highlighted in blue.
Align and install the optical drive bezel on the optical drive and press it until the bezel clicks into place.
Align the bracket post with the slot on the optical drive, then rotate the bracket inward until it clicks into place.
Flip to rotate the optical drive assembly by 180 degrees.
Slide the optical drive assembly into the drive bay until it clicks into place.
Connect the data and power cables to the optical drive.
Front Cover
Identify the front cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the front cover tabs with the slots on the right side of the chassis.
Insert and rotate the front cover towards the chassis and press it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide and install the side cover onto the chassis.
Tighten the screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
Dust Filter
Identify the dust filter location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the dust filter to the grooves on the front cover.
Press the dust filter into place on the front cover.
Cable Cover
Identify the cable cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the cable cover to the slots on the back of the chassis.
Insert the tabs on the cable cover into the slots on the back of the chassis then slide left.
Slide the cable cover lock to secure the cable cover to the chassis.
