Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
Slide and lift the side cover from the chassis.
Front Cover
Identify the front cover highlighted in blue.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry and release the tabs that secure the front cover to the chassis.
Rotate the front cover outward and lift it away from the chassis.
Optical Drive
Identify the optical drive highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the optical drive.
Press down on the securing tab to release the optical drive assembly from the drive bay.
Pull the optical drive assembly out of the drive bay.
Flip the optical drive assembly by 180 degrees.
Rotate the securing tab to release it from the optical drive.
Remove the optical drive bezel from the optical drive.
Install
Optical Drive
Identify the optical drive location highlighted in blue.
Align and install the optical drive bezel on the optical drive and press it until the bezel clicks into place.
Insert the securing tab alignment post into the optical drive hole and rotate it inward until it clicks into place.
Flip the optical drive assembly by 180 degrees.
Slide the optical drive assembly into the drive bay until it clicks into place.
Connect the data and power cables to the optical drive.
Front Cover
Identify the front cover location highlighted in blue.
Align and insert the front cover tabs into the slots on the right side of the chassis.
Rotate the front cover toward the chassis and press it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide and install the side cover onto the chassis.
Tighten the screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
