Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
Place fingers into the recess at the top edge and move your hands to both sides to pry the base cover.
Lift the base cover off the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the display cable cover to the display cable connector bracket.
Lift the display cable cover from the system.
Remove the screws that secure the display cable bracket to the system board.
Lift and remove the display cable bracket off the system board.
Disconnect the camera and display cables from the system board.
Open the display to a 90 degree angle and place the computer at the edge of a flat table.
Remove the screws that secure the left and right hinges to the palm rest.
Slide and lift the palm rest assembly off the display assembly.
Install
Display Assembly
Place the palm rest assembly at the edge of a flat table.
Identify the display assembly location highlighted in blue.
Install the display and align the screw holes of the palm-rest and display hinges.
Install the screws that secure the left and right hinges to the palm rest.
Close the display assembly, turn the computer over, and place it on the flat surface.
Connect the camera and display cables on the system board.
Align the screw holes on the display-cable connector bracket with the screw holes on the system board.
Install the screws that secure the display-cable connector bracket to the system board.
Install the display cable cover and align the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the display-cable cover to the display-cable connector bracket.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover and press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.
Install the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
