Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the release latch to release the side cover from the computer.
Slide the side cover back and lift it off the chassis.
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front bezel tabs sequentially from the top.
Rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.
Secondary Hard Drive (3.5)
Position the hard drive assembly as shown.
Identify the hard drive highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard drive bracket.
Slide and lift the hard drive out of the bracket.
Hard Drive Assembly (3.5)
Identify the hard drive assembly highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the hard drive.
Push the securing tab to release the hard drive assembly from the chassis.
Remove the EMI shield from the front side of the chassis.
Slide the hard drive away from the chassis.
Graphics card
Identify the expansion card highlighted in blue.
Pull to open the PCIe latch that secures the graphics card.
Hold the securing tab on the graphics card slot and lift the graphics card out of the slot.
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Slide and remove the memory module from the memory module slot.
SSD
Wireless Module (WLAN)
System fan
Identify the system fan unit highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board.
Pull the top and bottom rubber grommets gently through the chassis holes to release the fan.
Remove the system fan off the chassis.
Serial module
Identify the serial module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the optional serial module to the chassis.
Disconnect the optional serial module cable from the connector on the system board.
Lift the optional serial module off the system board.
VGA module
Identify the VGA module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the VGA module to the computer chassis.
Disconnect the VGA module cable from the connector on the system board.
Lift the VGA module off the system board.
DP module
Identify the DP module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the DP module to the chassis.
Disconnect the DP module cable from the connector on the system board.
Remove the DP module from the computer.
HDMI module
Identify the HDMI module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the HDMI module to the computer chassis.
Disconnect the HDMI module cable from the connector on the system board.
Lift the HDMI module off the system board.
Type-C module
Identify the Type-C module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the Type-C module to the chassis.
Disconnect the Type-C module cables from the connectors on the system board.
Lift the Type-C module off the system board.
PS2 and Serial Module
Identify the PS2 and serial module highlighted in blue.
Lift the pull tab to open the PCIe door.
Disconnect the PS2 and serial module cable from the system board.
Unroute the PS2 and serial module cable from the routing guides on the chassis.
Remove the PS2 and serial module from the chassis.
Network card
Identify the network card highlighted in blue.
Pull to open the PCIe latch that secures the network card.
Gently lift the network card from the PCIe card connector on the system board.
Optical drive
Identify the optical drive highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the optical drive.
Push the securing tab to release the optical drive from the chassis.
Slide and remove the optical drive from the slot on the chassis.
Processor fan and heat sink assembly
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Press down and push the release lever away from the processor to release it from the securing tab.
Lift the lever upward to lift the processor cover.
Gently lift the processor from the processor socket.
VR heatsink

internal speaker
Identify the speaker highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board.
Remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the chassis.
Press the tab, lift and slide the speaker along with the cable from the slot on the chassis.
Intrusion Switch
Identify the intrusion switch highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board.
Slide and lift the Intrusion switch away from the computer.
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the front I/O bracket to the chassis.
Slide and remove the front I/O bracket from the chassis.
Disconnect the power and HDD cables that are connected to the system board.
Unroute the power and HDD cables from the routing guides on the chasis.
Lift the pull tab to open the PCIe door.
Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
Remove the standoff screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
Lift the system board at an angle and remove the system board off the chassis.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Slide the front I/O ports into the slots on the chassis and match the screw holes on the system board with those on the chassis.
Install the standoff screws to secure the system board to the chassis.
Install the screws to secure the system board to the chassis.
Lift the pull tab to close the PCIe door.
Route the cables through the routing guides on the chassis.
Connect the power and HDD cables to their respective connectors on the system. board.

Align the front I/O bracket with the slots on the chassis.
Install the screw that secures the front I/O bracket to the chassis.
Intrusion Switch
Identify the intrusion switch location highlighted in blue.
Slide the intrusion switch into the slot on the chassis.
Connect the intrusion switch cable to the connector on the system board.
internal speaker
Identify the speaker location highlighted in blue.
Press the tab on the speaker and slide it into the chassis slot until it snaps into place.
Route the speaker cable through the routing guide on the chassis.
Connect the speaker cable to the connector on the system board.

Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Ensure that the release lever on the processor socket is fully extended in the open position.
Align the notches on the processor with the tabs on the socket and place it on the socket.
Once the processor is in place, lower the release lever and secure it under the tab on the processor cover.
Processor fan and heat sink assembly
Optical drive
Identify the optical drive location highlighted in blue.
Slide the optical drive into the disk drive cage until it snaps into place.
Connect the data and power cables to the connectors on the hard drive.
Network card
Identify the network card location highlighted in blue.
Align and install the network card and press down on till the tab on the PCIe connector locks in place.
Close the PCIe latch to secure the network card in the slot.
PS2 and Serial Module
Identify the PS2 and serial module location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the PS2 and serial module in the PCIe slot on the chassis.
Route the PS2 and serial module cable through the routing guides on the chassis.
Connect the PS2 and serial module cable on the system board.
Close the PCIe door and press it gently until it clicks in place on the chassis, to secure the PS2 and serial module.
Type-C module
Identify the Type-C module location highlighted in blue.
Insert a star head screwdriver and push to remove the dummy metal bracket.
Insert the Type-C module into the slot on the chassis.
Connect the Type-C module cables to their connectors on the system board.
Install the screws that secure the Type-C module to the chassis.
HDMI module
Identify the HDMI module location highlighted in blue.
Insert a star head screwdriver and push to remove the dummy metal bracket.
Insert the HDMI module into its slot from the inside of your computer.
Connect the HDMI module cable to the connector on the system board.
Install the screws to secure the HDMI module to the system.
DP module
Identify the DP module location highlighted in blue.
Insert a star head screwdriver and push to remove the dummy metal bracket.
Insert the DP module into its slot from the inside of your computer.
Connect the DP module cable to the connector on the system board.
Install the screws to secure the DP module to the system.
VGA module
Identify the VGA module location highlighted in blue.
Insert a star head screwdriver and push to remove the dummy metal bracket.
Insert the VGA module into its slot from the inside of your computer.
Connect the VGA module cable to the connector on the system board.
Install the cross type screws to secure the optional VGA module to the system.
Serial module
Identify the serial module location highlighted in blue.
Insert the serial module into the slot on the chassis.
Connect the serial module cable to the connector (KB_MS_SERIAL) on the system board.
Install the screws that secure the serial module to the chassis.
System fan
Identify the system fan location highlighted in blue.
Insert the rubber grommets through the holes on the chassis.
Insert the rubber grommets through the holes on the system fan.
Pull the rubber grommets and push the system fan towards the chassis until it clicks in place.
Connect the system fan cable to the connector on the system board.
Wireless Module (WLAN)
SSD
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory module slot.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
Graphics card
Identify the expansion card location highlighted in blue.
Using the alignment post, connect the graphics card in the connector and press down firmly.
Close the PCIe latch to secure the graphics card in the slot.
Hard Drive Assembly (3.5)
Identify the hard drive assembly location highlighted in blue.
Slide the hard drive into the slot on the chassis.
Install the EMI shield on the chassis.
Connect the data and power cables to the connectors on the hard drive.
Secondary Hard Drive (3.5)
Position the hard drive bracket as shown.
Identify the hard drive location highlighted in blue.
Align and insert the hard drive into the hard drive bracket.
Install the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard drive bracket.
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Align the front cover tabs with the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the front cover towards the chassis and snap it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the side cover with the slots on the chassis.
Slide the side cover forward until you hear the latch click.
