Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the release latch to release the side cover from the computer.
Slide the side cover back and lift it off the chassis.
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front bezel tabs sequentially from the top.
Rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.
Hard Drive Assembly (3.5)
Identify the hard drive assembly highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the hard drive.
Push the securing tab to release the hard drive assembly from the chassis.
Remove the EMI shield from the front side of the chassis.
Slide the hard drive away from the chassis.
3.5 Hard Drive
Position the part to enable AR.
Identify the hard drive highlighted in blue.
Pull one side of the hard drive bracket to release the pins from the drive slots.
Lift at an angle and remove the hard drive off the hard drive bracket.
Install
3.5 Hard Drive
Position the part to enable AR.
Identify the hard drive location highlighted in blue.
Place the tabs on the bracket with the slots on the hard drive and place the hard drive into the bracket.
Snap the hard drive into the hard drive bracket.
Hard Drive Assembly (3.5)
Identify the hard drive assembly location highlighted in blue.
Slide the hard drive into the slot on the chassis.
Install the EMI shield on the chassis.
Connect the data and power cables to the connectors on the hard drive.
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Align the front cover tabs with the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the front cover towards the chassis and snap it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the side cover with the slots on the chassis.
Slide the side cover forward until you hear the latch click.
