How to replace the System Memory on a PowerEdge XE9680

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the System Memory and a PowerEdge XE9680. The procedure will also include removing the System Cover, Cooling Shroud and reinstalling them.
Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a 1/4" Flathead or a Phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock counter clockwise.
Lift the latch untill the system cover slides back.
Hold the cover on both sides, and lift the cover away from the system.
Cooling Shroud
System Memory
Select the system memory you want to replace. System can have up to 24 dimms installed.
To release the memory module from the socket, simultaneously press the ejectors on both ends of the socket.
Holding the memory by the edges, lift to remove.
Install
System Memory
Confirm the highlighted memory DIMM is the correct location to install or change selection.
Align the edge connector of memory module with the alignment key of the memory module socket, and insert into the socket.
Press the memory module until the socket levers firmly click into place.
Cooling Shroud
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system.
Push the system cover latch down.
Using a 1/4" Flathead or a Phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise.
