How to replace the Wireless Module(WLAN) on a Dell ProTower Plus QBT1250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Wireless Module(WLAN) and a Dell ProTower Plus QBT1250. The procedure will also include removing the Cable Cover, Left Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Cable Cover

Identify the cable cover highlighted in blue.

Slide the cable cover lock to release the cable cover from the chassis.

Lift and slide the cable cover off the back of the chassis.

Left Side Cover

Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screws that secure the left side cover to the chassis.

Slide and lift the left side cover from the chassis.

Wireless Module(WLAN)

Identify the wireless card (WLAN) highlighted in blue.

Remove the screw that secures the wireless card to the system board.

Remove the wireless card bracket off the wireless card.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.

Slide and remove the wireless card from the system board.

Install

Wireless Module(WLAN)

Left Side Cover

Identify the left side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide and install the left side cover into the chassis.

Tighten the captive screws that secure the left side cover to the chassis.

Cable Cover

Identify the cable cover location highlighted in blue.

Align the tabs on the cable cover with the slots on the back of the chassis.

Insert the tabs on the cable cover into the slots on the back of the chassis and slide downwards.

Slide the cable cover lock to secure the cable cover to the chassis.
