Removal
Cable Cover
Identify the cable cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the cable cover lock to release the cable cover from the chassis.
Lift and slide the cable cover off the back of the chassis.
Dust Filter
Identify the dust filter highlighted in blue.
Pry and remove the dust filter from the chassis.
Left Side Cover
Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the left side cover to the chassis.
Slide and lift the left side cover from the chassis.
Front Cover
Identify the front cover highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the tabs that secure the front cover to the chassis.
Rotate the front cover outward and lift it away from the chassis.
Drive Bay
Identify the drive bay highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the optical drive data and power cables from the optical drive.
Unroute the optical drive data and power cables from the routing guide on the drive bay.
Disconnect the hard drive data and power cables from the hard drive.
Lift the drive bay at an angle to release the tabs from the chassis.
Slide and remove the drive bay from the chassis.
Remote Power Switch Cable
Identify the remote power switch cable highlighted in blue.
Unroute the processor power cables and move them away from the remote power switch cable.
Disconnect the power button cable from the remote power switch cable.
Disconnect the remote power switch cable from the system board.
Remove the remote power switch cable from the routing guides on the chassis.
Pinch the securing tabs on the remote power switch cable, thread it through the chassis slot, and remove it.
Install
Remote Power Switch Cable
Identify the remote power switch cable location highlighted in blue.
Insert the power switch cable into the slot of the chassis, then press the power switch cable until it clicks into place.
Route the remote power switch cable through the routing guides on the chassis.
Connect the remote power switch cable to the system board.
Connect the power button cable to the remote power switch cable.
Route the processor power cables through the routing guide on the chassis.
Drive Bay
Identify the drive bay location highlighted in blue.
Align and secure one side of the drive bay to the chassis.
Press down the other end of the drive bay securing the tabs on the drive bay with the slots on the chassis.
Connect the hard drive data and power cables to the hard drive.
Connect the optical drive data and power cables to the optical drive.
Route the optical drive data and power cables through the guide on the drive bay.
Front Cover
Identify the front cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the front cover tabs into the slots on the chassis.
Install and rotate the front cover towards the chassis and press it into place.
Left Side Cover
Identify the left side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide and install the left side cover into the chassis.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the left side cover to the chassis.
Dust Filter
Identify the dust filter location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the dust filter to the grooves on the front cover.
Press the dust filter into place on the front cover.
Cable Cover
Identify the cable cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the cable cover with the slots on the back of the chassis.
Insert the tabs on the cable cover into the slots on the back of the chassis and slide downwards.
Slide the cable cover lock to secure the cable cover to the chassis.
