How to replace the Coin Cell Battery on a Optiplex Micro Plus 7020

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Coin Cell Battery and a Optiplex Micro Plus 7020. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.

Slide and lift the side cover off the chassis.

Coin Cell Battery

Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.

Push the release lever on the coin cell battery socket to release it from the socket.

Lift the coin cell battery from the coin cell battery socket.

Install

Coin Cell Battery

Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue.

Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing up.

Snap the battery into place.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide the side cover into place towards the front of the computer.

Tighten the thumb screw that secure the side cover to the chassis.
