How to replace the PS2 Port Module on a Dell Pro Micro Plus QBM1250

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the PS2 Port Module and a Dell Pro Micro Plus QBM1250. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.

Slide and lift the side cover off the chassis.

PS2 Port Module

Identify the PS2 port module highlighted in blue.

Disconnect the PS2 port module cable from the system board.

Loosen the screws that secure the PS2 port module to the system board.

Lift the PS2 port module at an angle to remove the tabs from the slot on the chassis, then remove it from the system.

Install

PS2 Port Module

Identify the PS2 port module location highlighted in blue.

Install the PS2 port module at an angle and align its tabs with the slots on the chassis.

Align the PS2 port module with the slot on the chassis and connect it to the system board.

Tighten the screws that secure the PS2 port module to the system board.

Connect the PS2 port module cable to the system board.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Place the side cover on the chassis by aligning its tabs with the slots on the system.

Slide the side cover towards the front of the computer.

Tighten the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
