This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the SSD (Solid State Drive) 2230 and a Inspiron 5510. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover, SSD 2230 and reinstalling them.
Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screws on the base cover.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the hinges around the outside to loosen.
Lift the base cover off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

Install
SSD 2230
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Place the base cover on the system and snap into place.
Tighten the screws that secure the base cover.
Install the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
