Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the recesses located near the hinges.
Grasp the left side and the right side of the base cover and remove the base cover from the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, lift up to disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.

Memory Modules
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Hold the edges and carefully lift the memory module up from connector on the system board.

Chassis Frame
Identify the chassis frame highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the chassis frame and optional fingerprint bracket.
Disconnect the speaker cable and unroute it from the routing guides. Note the cable routing.
Remove the screws that secure the chassis frame to the system.
Lift to remove the chassis frame.
Speaker
Identify the speaker highlighted in blue.
Unroute the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm rest.
Lift the speaker and the cable from the system.
System fan
Identify the system fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the system fan.
Slide and remove the fan. Be cautious of the heat sink and sponge.
System board Assembly
Identify the system board assembly highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the USB Type-C bracket to the system board.
Remove the USB Type-C bracket from the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
Lift the display/eDP bracket away from the system.
Peel the tape that secures the display cable to the system.
Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable. Be careful not to damage the latch or connector.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the display cable and unroute it from the routing guide.
Pry the coin cell battery from the palm rest and remove it from the routing guides.
Remove the screw that secures the heat sink.
Remove the screws that secure the system board to the palm rest.
Slide the system board to the left and remove it from the system with the coin cell.
Power button
Identify the power button with optional fingerprint cable highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the power button board.
Lift to remove the power button board with optional fingerprint cable.
Keyboard Assembly
Identify the keyboard assembly highlighted in blue.
Peel the tapes to access and remove the screws that secure the keyboard assembly to the palm rest.
Remove the keyboard assembly away from the system.
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly highlighted in blue.
Open the display to 180º and lay the system on a flat surface
Remove the screws that secures both left and right hinges to the palm rest.
Remove the display assembly from the palm rest.

Identify the display assembly location highlighted in blue.
Align the screw holes on the hinges with the screw holes on the palm rest.
Install the screws that secures both left and right hinges to the system board.
Close the display and place the system as shown in video.
Keyboard Assembly
Identify the keyboard assembly location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the keyboard assembly on the palm rest.
Install the screws to secure the keyboard assembly to the palm rest. Adhere the tapes.
Power button
Identify the power button with optional fingerprint cable location highlighted in blue.
Install the power button into the slot on the palm rest.
Install the screws that secure the power button.
System board Assembly
Identify the system board assembly location highlighted in blue.
Slide the system board into the slot, ensuring to clear the USB Type-C ports.
Install the screws to secure the system board to the palm rest.
Install the screw that secures the heat sink.
Adhere the coin cell to the slot on the palm rest and route the cable along the guides.
Install the USB Type-C bracket that secures the USB Type-C port.
Install the screws that secure the USB Type-C port bracket.
Push down to connect the eDP cable to the system board. Route the cable through the routing guide.
Connect the display cable and close the latch to secure.
Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system.
Install the eDP cable support bracket to the system.
Install the screws to secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
System fan
Identify the system fan location highlighted in blue.
Slide the fan to install and align the screw holes.
Install the screws to secure the system fan.
Connect the system fan cable to the system board.
Speaker
Identify the speaker location highlighted in blue.
Using the alignment posts, install the speaker in the slots on the system.
Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on palm rest.
Chassis Frame
Identify the chassis frame highlighted in blue.
Align and place the chassis frame on the system chassis.
Install the screws to secure the chassis frame to the system.
Install the screw that secures the chassis frame and optional fingerprint bracket.
Route the speaker cable along the chassis frame.
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.

Memory Modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the slot and slide the memory into the slot at an angle.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.

Push down to connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover tabs to the slots, press the cover until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover to the system.
