Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Using a Torx #5, remove the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
Place fingers into the recess at the top edge and move your hands to both sides to pry the base cover.
Lift the base cover off the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screw that secures the battery connector bracket to the system board.
Unhook and lift the battery connector bracket off the system board.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Fans
Identify the fans highlighted in blue.
Lift the latch, use the pull tab to disconnect the left and right fans cables from the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the left and right fans to the system board.
Lift the left and right fans off the system board.
Install
Fans
Identify the fans location highlighted in blue.
Install the left and right fans into the slot on the system and align the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the left and right fans to the system board.
Connect the left and right fan cables to the system board. Close the latch to secure.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Slide the hook of the bracket under the system board and install the bracket to the system board.
Tighten the screw that secures the battery connector bracket to the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover and press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.
Using a Torx #5, install the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
