How to replace the SSD 2230 on a AW Aurora R16

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the SSD 2230 and a AW Aurora R16. The procedure will also include removing the Left side cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Left side cover

Place the computer in an upright position as shown in the AR.

Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover release latch to the chassis.

Pull the left side cover release latch to release the left side cover away from the chassis.

Lift the left side panel from the chassis.

SSD 2230

Identify the solid state drive (SSD) highlighted in blue.

Remove the screw that secures the solid state drive (SSD) to the system board.

Slide and lift the solid state drive (SSD) off the slot on the system board.

Install

SSD 2230

Identify the solid state drive (SSD) location highlighted in blue.

Align and slide the solid state drive at an angle and install into the system board.

Install the screw that secures the solid state drive (SSD) to the system board.

Left side cover

Identify the left side cover location highlighted in blue.

Locate the tabs on the left side cover and slots on the chassis.

Rotate the left side cover towards the chassis until it snaps into place.

Install the release latch to secure the left side cover to the system.

Tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover release latch to the chassis.
