Removal
Left side cover
Place the computer in an upright position as shown in the AR.
Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover release latch to the chassis.
Pull the left side cover release latch to release the left side cover away from the chassis.
Lift the left side panel from the chassis.
Processor liquid cooling assembly
Identify the processor liquid cooling assembly highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the radiator and fan assembly cables from the system board.
Disconnect the processor cooling assembly cable from the system board.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the processor cooling assembly to the system board.
Remove the screws that secures the radiator and fan assembly to the chassis.
Release the spring latch and lift the processor cooling assembly, along with the cables, off the system board.
Use the alcohol pad to clean the heat sink (as shown in the video).
Liquid cooling assembly fan
Identify the liquid cooling assembly fan highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secures the left liquid cooling assembly fan from the system.
Lift the left liquid cooling assembly fan off the system.
Remove the screws that secures the right liquid cooling assembly fan from the system.
Lift the right liquid cooling assembly fan off the system.
Install
Liquid cooling assembly fan
Identify the liquid cooling assembly fan location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the left liquid cooling assembly fan on the system.
Install the screws that secures the left liquid cooling assembly fan on the system
Align and place the right liquid cooling assembly fan on the system.
Install the screws that secures the right liquid cooling assembly fan on the system.
Processor liquid cooling assembly
Identify the processor liquid cooling assembly location highlighted in blue.
Apply paste or pad included with the heat sink. Apply in spiral pattern.
Align the screw hole of the radiator and fan assembly to the screw hole on the chassis and ensure that the spring latch is locked.
Install the screws that secures the radiator and fan assembly to the chassis.
Align the screw holes on the processor cooling assembly with the screw holes on the system board.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the processor cooling assembly to the system board. Tighten in order. Do not over tighten.
Connect the radiator and fan assembly cables to the system board.
Connect the processor cooling assembly cable to the system board.
Left side cover
Identify the left side cover location highlighted in blue.
Locate the tabs on the left side cover and slots on the chassis.
Rotate the left side cover towards the chassis until it snaps into place.
Install the release latch to secure the left side cover to the system.
Tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover release latch to the chassis.
