Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
Slide and lift the side cover off the chassis.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front bezel tabs.
Rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.
Hard Drive Assembly
Disk drive Cage
Identify the disk drive cage highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the disk drive cage to the chassis.
Lift the disk drive cage and detach it from the mounting points on the chassis.
Flip the disk drive cage and place it on the chassis.
Lift the disk drive cage away from the system.
Processor Heat sink Assembly
Identify the processor heat sink assembly highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the processor fan cable from its connector on the system board.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the processor heat sink assembly to the system board. Loosen in reverse order.
Lift the processor heat sink assembly off the system.
Use the alcohol pad to clean the heatsink (as shown in the video).
I/O Module
Identify the I/O module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the I/O module to the chassis.
Disconnect the I/O module cable from its connector on the system board.
Slide and lift the I/O module from the chassis.
Install
I/O Module
Identify the I/O module location highlighted in blue.
Slide and install the I/O module into the slot on the chassis.
Connect the I/O module cable to its connector on the system board.
Install the screws to secure the I/O module to the chassis.
Processor Heat sink Assembly
Identify the processor heat sink assembly location highlighted in blue.
Apply a pea sized amount of thermal material as shown.
Install the processor heat sink assembly and align with the screw holes on the system board.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the processor heat sink assembly to the system board. Tighten in order. Do not over tighten.
Connect the processor fan cable to its connector on the system board.
Disk drive Cage
Identify the disk drive cage location highlighted in blue.
Place the disk drive cage upside down on the chassis.
Flip the disk drive cage and match its mounting points with the slots on the chassis.
Place the disk drive cage and align with the screw hole on the chassis.
Install the screw that secures the disk drive cage to the chassis.
Hard Drive Assembly
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Align the front bezel tabs with the slots on the chassis.
Slide and install the front bezel with its tabs into the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the front bezel towards the chassis and snap it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Place and slide the side cover towards the front of the chassis.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
