This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Hard drive 2.5 and a Precision 3460 Small Form Factor. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover, Front bezel, Hard drive assembly 2.5, 2.5 Hard Drive and reinstalling them.
Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the release latch until your hear a click.
Slide the side cover towards the back of the computer and lift it from the system.
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front bezel tabs sequentially from the top.
Rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.
Hard drive assembly 2.5
2.5 Hard Drive
Position the drive caddy on the flat surface as shown.
Identify the hard drive highlighted in blue.
Pull one side of the hard disk drive bracket to disengage the pins on the bracket from the slots on the drive.
Slide and lift the hard drive out off the bracket.
Install
2.5 Hard Drive
Position the drive caddy on the flat surface as shown.
Identify the hard drive location highlighted in blue.
Align the slots on the hard drive with the mounting points on the hard drive bracket.
Snap the hard drive onto the hard drive carrier.

Front bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Align the front cover tabs with the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the front cover towards the chassis and snap it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the side cover towards the front of the computer until you hear the release latch click.
