How to replace the Graphics Card on a Precision 3460 Small Form Factor

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Graphics Card and a Precision 3460 Small Form Factor. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Slide the release latch until your hear a click.

Slide the side cover towards the back of the computer and lift it from the system.

Graphics Card

Identify the graphics card highlighted in blue.

Using the tab, lift and open the PCIe door.

Press down on the release tab and lift the graphics card off the system board.

Install

Graphics Card

Identify the graphics card location highlighted in blue.

Align the graphics card with the connector on the system board.

Using the alignment post on the PCIe slot, connect the card in the connector and press down firmly.

Close the PCIe door to secure the graphics card in the slot.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide the side cover towards the front of the computer until you hear the release latch click.
