Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
Pry open the base cover from the recesses that are located in the U shaped indents at the top edge of the base cover near the hinges.
Lift the base cover off the palm rest assembly.
4G WWAN Card
Identify the WWAN card highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the WWAN card shield to the system.
Lift the WWAN card shield from the WWAN card.
Disconnect the antenna cables from the WWAN card.
Slide and remove the WWAN card off the I/O board.
Install
4G WWAN Card
Identify the WWAN card location highlighted in blue.
Slide and install the WWAN card into the slot on the I/O board.
Connect the black cable to the ANT1 D/G.
Connect the white cable to the ANT0 M.
Align and place the WWAN card shield on the WWAN card.
Install the screws that secure the WWAN card shield to the system.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the base cover on the palm rest assembly and snap it into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
