Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
Slide and lift the side cover off the chassis.
3.5 Hard Drive
Identify the hard drive highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the hard drive.
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive carrier to the chassis.
Slide the hard drive carrier out of the disk drive cage by moving it away from the chassis, then lift it out.
Flip to rotate the HDD assembly to remove the hard drive from the carrier.
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard drive carrier.
Slide and remove the hard drive from the hard drive carrier.
Install
3.5 Hard Drive
Identify the hard drive location highlighted in blue.
Slide the hard drive into the hard drive carrier.
Install the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard drive carrier.
Flip to rotate the HDD assembly to install into the chasis.
Align the tabs on the hard drive carrier with the slots on the chassis and snap the hard drive carrier onto the disk drive cage.
Install the screws to secure the hard drive carrier to the chassis.
Connect the data and power cables to the connectors on the hard drive.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the side cover towards the front of the computer.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
