How to replace the Speaker - 95 W CPU on a Precision 3630

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Speaker - 95 W CPU and a Precision 3630. The procedure will also include removing the Cover, PSU hinge and reinstalling them.

Removal

Cover

Identify the cover highlighted in blue.

Pull the release latch to release the cover.

Rotate the cover and lift the cover to remove it from the computer.

PSU hinge

Identify the power supply unit (PSU) hinge highlighted in blue

Unlock the release tabs on the back of the system

Rotate the power supply unit hinge up to an open position.

Speaker - 95 W CPU

Identify the speaker highlighted in blue.

Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.

Unroute the speaker cable from the tabs on the system board.

Press the release tab and pull the speaker out from front of the system chassis.

Install

Speaker - 95 W CPU

Identify the speaker location highlighted in blue.

Replace the speaker into the rear portion of the chassis above the front fan.

Route the speaker cable along the tabs on the I/O port of the system board and connect it to the system board.

PSU hinge

Identify the power supply unit (PSU) cage highlighted in blue.

Rotate the power supply unit cage downwards into the system.

Lock the release tabs to secure the power supply unit hinge to the system.

Cover

Identify the cover location highlighted in blue.

Align the hooks on the cover with the tabs on the chassis of the computer.

Rotate the cover until it clicks into place.
